This notice explains how information is handled when you visit darkskytattoo.com or contact the studio through this website. Dark Sky Tattoo & Gallery is an appointment-only studio at 646 East Nine Mile Road, Ferndale, Michigan.

When you contact us

The inquiry form asks you to choose Manager or an artist currently listed in the form, and provide your name, email address and message. A phone number is optional. The email generated by the form also includes the submission date, time and IP address.

Your inquiry is routed to the selected studio or artist Gmail inbox so that the recipient can read and respond to it. The website’s hosting and email-delivery services process the message in transit, and Google processes it as the email provider. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

The form uses Contact Form 7. That plugin does not itself provide a database of submitted messages in its default configuration. This does not mean your message is never stored: email copies remain in the recipient’s mailbox, and delivery records or backups may also contain information. Please contact the studio with questions about an existing inquiry or its retention. Avoid including payment details, identification documents or sensitive health information in the website form.

Website operation and security

The hosting system and Wordfence security software process technical information to operate the website, investigate errors and protect it against abuse. Access, error and security logs can include IP addresses, requested pages, request times, browser information and security events.

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish visitors from automated traffic. Cloudflare processes technical signals such as your IP address, browser information, connection characteristics and the website origin for bot detection and to improve that detection. Analytics and cookies

This website uses Google Analytics through Site Kit by Google to understand website visits and interactions. Google’s tag loads on the site. Analytics can use cookies and similar identifiers and process information about pages visited, interactions, browser and device characteristics, and approximate location. Your browser sends technical information, including its IP address, when connecting to Google’s services.

Browser settings also let you manage or block cookies. Blocking cookies does not necessarily prevent all data transmission, and blocking scripts or security services may affect how the site or form works.

The studio images on this homepage are served from this website. The portfolio, Instagram, Facebook and directions links take you to separate websites with their own privacy practices. The homepage does not embed an Instagram feed or an interactive map. Information you provide after following an external link is handled by that destination.
